Hi Leon, I'll chime in here. I guess if one has the money to buy or upgrade to the best, fine. But it is not always necessary or possible. I installed Bosch Compass series (22350C) clear fog lights on the tops on my bumpers ('90 Westy) several years ago. They come with a relay so if wired correctly, they only work with the low beams, which is what I wanted. I also installed a separate switch to turn them off if I wanted. They work fine. H3 halogen bulbs. They supplement the low beams and light up the sides of the road better as well. Maybe twice in 8 or 9 years has anyone flashed their high beams and then I just switch them off. Paid probably $30 or less. Oh yes, the lights are all glass, not metal, and the bulb clips in from the back.
