Tom, I wired my Syncro to tow a utility trailer and have had great luck with a gizmo that I found at the Trailer Store in my home town.

Draw Tite Modulite #18146

I use the trailer to move the toys around and it gets wet allot, the sales person promised that with this modulator you will not fry your vans electrical system if the trailer lights short out. It was easy to install, three wires to lights, in line fused power wire to battery and a couple of screws to hold it in place. It has been working great for over two years!

cheers
