Common problem. Go to an auto parts store and explain your problem. They'll sell you a device that allows the three into two conversion. The device is a small black epoxied box with a bunch of wired coming out of it. Get a dozen wire splicers at U-Haul or Lowes for the size of wire you have and follow the directions that come with the device. Should take about an hour. Might help to have a wiring diagram to figure out which color wire on the van goes to the wires on the device.

The last device I got had a peel and stick thing on the back. Its best to zip tie the device to something rather than use the sticky pad. It comes off after the first hot day. Also, zip tie all the wires neatly out of the way. The devices don't like heat, so find a relatively cool place to install it, like on top of the black plastic relay box on the left side of the engine compartment

Good luck.
