Hi Zolo,

The problem as I unserstand it is that you cannot import these vehicles into the USA.

Sorry!

I have looked at the prices on the German eBay list for the Westfalia and T3 and T2, T4 "Wohnmobil" area and I must say that the prices are impressive, especially now in the winter time. There are lots of diesel turbo ones and 1.9 and 2.1 liter ones, late 80s models with about 100k miles and lots of repaires. Right now there is one for $2000 that has been fixed for almost $7000 recently. I feel that we are missing the boat there. And the air tickets are so cheap sometimes that it is not making sense that we are not doing it more often. Last month my friend went to Germany for $250 return. Now if you have your car and hotel - just what the Westy is - then you have no real expense other then the same that you would have here anyway. Go to eBay home page, go down to Germany, get into Auto and ..., go down to the bottom to Wohnmobil & ..., and that is the place wher you can see all of them. There are Synchro Westys for $2500 and similar stuff. And they have all kind of Mercedes diesel and Fiat and many different ones. It is also fun to see them. Zoltan
