Man..this must be a problem endemic to SW PA!!! I live an hour east of Pittsburgh...in the sticks...and there is only ONE competent (?) VW guy out here.

Last winter at Christmas my heads went on my 1990 Carat...he had mt van until MAY!!! Granted...he is always overworked...but 5 months to do a head job???

Unfortunately it seems that the wheel that squeeks loudest gets the grease...I like this guy...and try to be patient...an he takes advantage of it. Not to mention a mechanic has ya by the proverbial "nads" (sorry ladies)...piss him off and the bill gets proportionatly bigger.

Did I mention my Vanagon never ran right after all this??? :-(
