No. I am saying it might be injecting little or no fuel. Then the attendant cylinder becomes merely an air pump. This leans the exhaust to the point that the control system tries to compensate with a very rich setting which cannot possibly be completely burned in the other three cylinders. I had this happen once at night. When I finally limped home, in the darkness of my driveway, I could see the cat glowing cherry red. It was so hot, I called the kids out to have a weenie roast.
