I've never had a problem with a Vanagon in a carwash, beyond finding one that the Vanagon could fit into (the ones with the cloth mats hanging from the ceilings aren't an ideal place to take a Vanagon.)

I favor the "touchless" type of carwash, which washes them with only sprays of water (no brushes, no cloth mats.
