I admit they're a bit rough, much smoother if balanced.

In my professional experience, which equals 20+ years working on foreign
cars, I have never seen a 300D or 300TD engine fail prematurely without help
from an idiot owner or mechanic.

Just my experience.

Ha! Thay can last far less than this, even when well-maintained.

That too. I'd love a T3 with a 3.0 Toyota turbodiesel but way too
heavy, as well as expensive.
