A real patriotic American buys a new car every four years anyhow. If you take care of them, they'll generally last quite a while, but even if you never change the oil or do a tune-up they'll still struggle to 70,000 miles or so before starting to blow big clouds of blue smoke. ------------------------ Clip --------------------------- 90% of the cars in the Pentagon parking lot are foreign made. That is patriotic. At least some of the Foreign manufacturers have decided to build 6% of their cars on US soil. I've known people that add a quart of oil every time the oil light comes on. I've known people that never change the oil ........... just add to it to get them through the warranty period and then they buy another car. Welcome to America, home of the eternal consumer ................. we don't even expect things to last. The Lexus dealer charges $100.00 an hour for labor. The Olds house charges $65.00 an hour for labor. Sure glad I don't have to go there for a $200.00 wash job. An extended warranty should be part of every new car purchase. With labor rates going into the triple digits it pays back real quick. ---------------------------- I swear, I swear I won't post on this subject again.
