Volks,

In Denver today having the new interior installed by Sewfine.

As many of you may know .... Sewfine supplies the seat covers, carpet sets, custom mat sets etc sold by many of our VW Van Parts Suppliers.

Just had an interesting discusion with them on the sizes of Vanagon/Westfalia/Syncro front bucket seats.

Does anyone have specific measurments (seat depth - bottom cushion), (seat width -bottom cushion) etc info on the various seats available for these vans.

Some have suggested there is only two seat versions (pre 86 and post 86) ...... but I have specifcally seen and measured three versions. The main difference was in seat depth, but also a slight difference in width.

Now wondering how many versions there are.

Did seats vary not only by years but by models ...ie... Vanagon vs Carat or Westfalia?

If we can sort this out I'll provide some specific info to Sewfine.

It may help as all in the long run .... making sure we get the correct fit.

Looking for info by years of production, model etc.

Example:

1981-1985 Vanagon = ? 1981-1985 Westfalia = ? 1981-10985 Syncro = ? 1981-1985 Wolf Carat = ?

Thanks,

Larry Chase
