With the colder weather setting in your lubricants aren't flowing quite as well. The CV could be your problem. Although they ran silently before they may be starving for grease at current temperatures. The same applies to your front and rear wheel / axle bearings. You speedometer cable could become noisy as well. I'd first give the CVs a little jolt of grease and take a few days with a wait and see attitude. If you speedo cable is making noise use lithium (the white water proof) grease. I made up a simple tool to address getting the grease into the CVs without removing the CV or the boot. It works fairly well considering its a blind application and there is still guesswork. http://williamwareagency.com/forsale/stanvan/0069.htm
