Hi George. My O2 sensor has 3 wires (two white, one black) covered by a black shield, so I can’t figure out where the bright green conductor is that you refer to. I must be missing something... Do you have an older Vanagon with the single wire OXS? Regardless, the insulation on the wires off the OXS look intact, and I have run the engine with the OXS disconnected - there was no improvement.
