Hi List,

It's been awhile since I've posted about my Vanagon not starting, due to
several big changes.  We just bought and closed on our new house and found
out, happily but quite by surprise, that my wife is 11 wks pregnant!  So, I
haven't had a lot of time to deal with my Action Van.

I ended up towing it to Blazer Automotive in Englewood, CO.  Very, very nice
Vanagon guys.  They fixed it quickly (one day) and inexpensively.

They said that I had some "bad wiring at the coil" and that the Hall Sender
was not working properly.  They replaced wires and cleaned up/wrapped the
Hall Sender wires, and everything's working well now.

Due to my busy schedule, baby on the way, and ongoing problems with using
the Vanagon for work, it is now in semi-retirement and will only be used for
hauling, camping, and tailgating, or simply, as the insurance company says,
"...as a pleasure vehicle."  It even fits in the new garage.

A 1994 Toyota Corolla, (automatic and everything works, about as much of a
soulless appliance as a car can be--it's even white) will be my daily
commuter...
