John: Same thing happend to a friend of mine after rreplacing his master cylinder, we couldn`t believe it was a factory failure. Check out if when you push the pedal there is a counter pumping inside the reservoir, be carefull not to remove the cap, or you'll get a dangerous splash of liquid. If this is the case you have to replace it again and discuss it with your suplier.

A couple of nights ago I made a short trip and noticed that when I pushed the clutch pedal on my 88 GL, there was a definite "SQUISH" sound. I recently replaced the brake master cylinder because of internal leaks and also leaking and dripping on the floor.

Anyone got ideas as to what this "Squish" is about? And if it's clutch master cylinder - how hard to replace?

TIA,

John Rodgers 88 GL Driver
