"""Waterboxers are not prone to flipping off belts....."""

But when they do, they do it well. I had one belt go, and it summarily took the other two with it by getting caught up in them. Of the three belts, I was left with one severely crippled belt, which I fit to the alt/waterpump, and limped it off the highway. The belt broke before I got to the FLAPS. I coasted most of the way, using the engine power only briefly a few times. Luckily, no permanent damage. Bought 2 spares, kept them in the van, therefore never happened again. Such adventure! Did I mention that I had the wife, dogs, cats, and a whole bunch of stuff in the van at the time?
