If mine was really cold, I would have to start it with the spark, then slowly continue to pump the air pump to feed air until it was hot enough to draw in air with convection. You can watch the LED and when it fades, pump some air and it will brighten again. Continue this until it will stay lit on its own. tx, bmc :) Ben McCafferty ben@volkscafe.com
