Thanks for all the input on installing the ETKA (EPC5) into XP. After a couple of weeks of trying out all of the suggestions I received individually and in combination, this is what ended up making the program work: Copied the whole EKTA CD-ROM contents to my hard drive and installed it from there. Installed the complete program on the hard drive. Copied the files "lexhdl5.dll" and "lexhdll5.dll" from the EPC_PROG.W95 folder on the CD to the epc_prog folder on the hard drive, replacing the files with the same name that were there. I kept getting the hardlock errors when I tried to run the program and when I ran hardlock, I would get disk errors. Overall, I spent more time installing ETKA that I did putting in my water pump last weekend. Happy Holidays.
