In the only installed case of the front dash AC that I have seen, the Radio was in an extra holder that was attached to the front of the lower heating vent cover. The Radio was just about vertical so that it would not interfere with the stick shift. This location is occupied by the shifter in the Automatics, so I have no idea what they would do for a radio. The unit Larry Chase had installed has the vents coming out of where the ash tray is normally. The VW one did not have that as an option, as far as I know.
