Subject:   Decent deal on an inverter
Content-Type:   text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

No spam intent here. I have been looking for an inverter for some time and came across what appears to be a decent deal. The usual disclaimers here, no association etc.

http://store.yahoo.com/dotcoms/colpow400wat.html

400w (800w max) Coleman inverter for $24.99 less coupon for 5% off (promo code was BIGSALE) makes it 23.74 plus the scad bit exorbitant $10.95 for shipping for a total of $34.53 delivered. From what I have found these units go for 50-60.00 and were branded as Power To Go before Coleman labeling. The best price I have seen in the 400 watt range has been $34 on Ebay (Jenson brand?).

Since I have not rec'd the unit yet I will reserve opinion on this shop and unit. I will update the list if/when it comes in as advertised.

Now to find a good deal on a deep cycle sealed and I will be set for some serious camping.

With all of 6 months under my belt as a Vanagon owner, there is little I can contribute technically so this just an attempt to give back to a community that gives me so much.

Owen
