I'm not going to tackle the math. But, yes, going with larger tires and wheels (specifically that 215/75/15 combo) has a big impact on the seat of the pants acceleration feel.

Maybe later tonight I'll grab my spare and weigh the 15" alloy wheel/tire versus the 14" wheel/tire, as I'm pretty sure the 15 is heavier as well, and that also factors into the acceleration game.
