Hey, speak for yourself! I'm pretty far south, as it goes, about six miles from mexico. And "The Bisbee district has the greatest climate on Earth!"(or so its painted in foot-tall letters on the insurance office downtown), so I shouldn't need AC, as long as I don't stray too far from home :) But, honestly, I've lived in AZ for a dozen years now, never had AC, think I can go a while longer. Simply not worth the hassle of buying parts, keeping it charged, loss of power, poorer mileage, global warming, etc. (not to mention the $500).

It looks like on my van (an '84 westy) the door simply screws on where the current vent is. Still haven't found one, though...
