Harold, first make sure that the cable to the heater valve is working and valve is operating. If you had heat last winter, you might have some gunk in the heater valve or the core. Take it out on the interstate with the heater valve open and drive it hard for a half hour or so. I had same problem when it started to get cold here in GA. I got out on I-75 and ran it at 70-75 mph for 30 miles and I had heat when done.
