Subject: Loose wheel?

I have an 83 westfalia air-cooled. I have a problem with it I can not find. The front passenger wheel makes a grinding noise. The wheel seems loose like a bad bearing, but its not that I just replaces the bearings and the noise is still there. when I am speeding up or just cruising there is no issue. Just when I am breaking and about to stop. The wheel does rub on the steering nuckle and not the control arms so I don't think It is a ball joint. I really am stumped on this. I have after market wheels that are a bit wider the factory wheels there was no issue in the beginning and the drivers side is just fine. Please help

Justin Hall 83 westy
