idle stablizer/its only another part- subject to--

old age constant use for over a decade heat cold vibration the luxury ride in the back of a vanagon with the super comfort suspension 1980's technology manufacturing and design variations in voltage etc.

As far as part nbrs.. how many vendors did VW use ?? So far i've seen two different manufacturers as far as I can tell Siemans and Bosch-- as far as part nbr internally thay may have their own production numbers-assembly lines nbrs, manuf plants- coded dates etc- coded sub contractor nbrs-plan nbrs-who knows.

when ya get the schematic with specs- let me know- keep your eye out for the "SAMS" manual--(now I'm dating myself).

NASA has put satellites in space that have had far shorter life spans.

We all have thrown out motherboards, CPU's, memory chips CDRW copiers-fax machines TV's walkmans and other home appliances without a second thought--

This is another Wear out part.

Since we don't have the service and testing manual for this item and certainly not enough test equipment such as signal generators -oscillascopes- low voltage soldering and desoldering equipment etc.

Why worry about it- when the walkman dies do you take that apart and evaluate it for repair??

Thats why it is a plug in replacement part..

I hate spending a buck more than most-so I too would like to repair my own stableizer--

I also used the DIY (do it yourself) hernia repair kit... Gee ya really gotta know how to sew.....

Beep thrice when ya see me-I'll beep back and wave.

c'ya Steve
