Two reasons. The obvious one is to cool the incredibly hot air inside
our green houses on wheels while driving in southern summers.

The 2nd reason is a safety one. To dehumidify the air (at ANY time of
the year.) Humid air can fog the inside the windows reducing visibility
and leading to an accident.
