Go stock as in authentic VW parts. Bite the bullet, saunter up to your VW dealer parts guy, be likable and cut the best deal he will give you. Many years ago, I called Gordi who advertises in the Limbo newsletter. He is in New Hampshire, so I thought he might have a line on SS exhaust parts. He said," Look. A stock exhaust system lasts for 90 - 100 Kmi. What more can you ask for?" At first, I ignored his sage advice only to find out he was right.

An OE system from VW will last MUCH longer and fit MUCH better than any of the others.
