Joe and anyone in Western New York, The best mechanic for miles around is located in the town of Walworth NY about 25 miles East of Rochester. People from North Carolina and NY City come to this guy. Of course I'm talking about Dan Sherman and Dan's Import Service 3719 Walworth-Palmyra Road Walworth NY 14568 (315) 986-8706 Dan is great. A VW trained mechanic and knows all about VWs.... even Vanagons, Vanagon problems and Syncros. The only problem with someone good is getting a slice of his time to work on your van. Make an appointment and he will get to you. I know that you never plan ahead to have a breakdown so this may not be convenient at all. If you do locate someone in Syracuse, please share your experience with the list. Joel 89 Syncro Westy Rochester NY Western NY LiMBO Representative
