I am a longitme lurker on this list and enjoy reading it every day. I am starting the process of replacing my blown 2.1 on my 91 GL. I plan to take all winter and have it ready for spring. I do not have my new motor yet and I still need to remove the old waterboxer and wiring harness. I would like to ask the list if there is anything else I should do to while I am doing this complete mechanical refit. I was thinking of possible things like having the radiator flush/checked out, replace radiator hoses, the auto tranny maybe get checked out by a tranny shop, cleaning the engine bay, etc. Is there any wires, hoses, or parts that are hard to get at when the motor is in but easy to replace while the motor is out? If money was not an object (to a point) and I wanted to make this van last a long time used as a road trip machine, what should I replace? My van have has 204k miles on it but is in excellent shape interior and exterior. Any advice/input/ideas would be apreciated. Thanks.

Dave
