I have had 3 full Westies ('81, '86, '91) and really like the full westy set up. We can cram a lot of stuff in the van and it does not look messy. In some of your more adventuresome travel we have had to do without the propane part of the fridge, we missed it, but made up for it by doing more daily shopping.

On the negative side: The bed is a bit narrow. The full westy forces us to stay in the van, even in nice camp-sites. When we have car- camped (when we are van-less), we have the option to set up and cook & clean outside: Coleman stove, ice-chest, and plastic sink, all on the picnic table. In nice weather this is very nice. Yes I know that we still have this option with the full westy, but I rarely take 2 stoves etc.

On the plus side: In rainy weather, it is great to drive up, pop the top, and cook, clean, and go to bed DRY.

I can understand that different people might like each of the different set-ups. "Different strokes for different folks" Malcolm
