Subject: ARA cruise control fix
Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed

Hey Y'all, I have been though the archives- with no luck. I am trying to repair my ARA cruise on my 85 Westy. It used to work fine, but after some maintenance it no longer engages. I have schematics and spares, and have done the block troubleshooting. There is not much detail where it attaches at the engine. The switch works- power and brake - the servo tests but no engage light. My question is; where exactly do the 2 pickup wires (coil? hall sensor? ground?)go- There is a black wire and a brown (#7,8). If you have an ARA setup with manual trans- working or not, please take a look at where your wires hook up in the engine compartment and let me know. TIA. Duncan Cameron Nashville,TN 85 Westy, 87 Syncro
