When I bought my 84 the PO told me the speedo was about 10mph faster than actual. When I check speed using my Magellan GPS I find that 90mph on the speedo is 73 mph on the GPS and a tach of about 3800. I have read that a GPS reading isn't an entirely accurate measure of a fast moving vehicle. I will check this against a moving car later and post the results. 90 mph actual in an 84 Westy? Yikes you are a brave soul. I can't get over that sensation of feeling like I am strapped to a brick being thrown with great force.
