Hi all, The recent question about anti-theft options got me thinking too. In addition to a valve in the fuel supply, manual or not, I thought of another way. The really, really important electric fuel pump is powered via a relay, so why not install a simple toggle switch (could even use a factory switch if you've got room in your gauge binnacle) in a new relay ground run to the front of the vehicle? One could run the wire from a connection in the relay set box, parallel the harness to the front and then ground it after the switch, essentially a one-wire install. Use a fat one if you're worried about voltage drop. By making the connection in the relay set box, it could always be reversed if needed. One could also install a switch in the fused power to the pump near the fuse box if you had a limited supply of wire. Switching the ground seems safer though. Gregory Smith '84 Vanagon Olympia, WA
