Hello SUV Bashers-
While you and I certainly have some things against SUV's, we certainly
aren't getting better gas mileage than them in our Vanagons.
The average Vanagon only gets about 17-19 mpg .Mine has got 24 mpg before
only when driving non-stop under 55 mph.
The top 5 SUV's , the top being the Toyota RAV 4-, get between 23-31 mpg.
The Rav-4 gets 27-31.
So clearly us Vanagon drivers are the gas guzzlers. Makes you wonder why a
anarchist group hasn't targeted us.
Now the older SUV's made while the Vanagon was imported to North America may
get worse mpg.I haven't checked.
The A-3 VR6 Golf gets 27 city/31 hwy(172 hp,5 speed ).I don't know what the
newest Golf gets.
We could bash that I suppose-but, it's a VW. We love VW's, don't we?
Maybe I should'nt have brought this up. Maybe they know already. Maybe that
could explain why so many Vanagons burn.

Tip of the day: get a third brake light- I see a lot of rear -ended Vanagons
