Subject: dual battery/vanagon.com error?

Hello all electrical gurus.

I am hooking up a second batter using the existing relay under the driver seat. The Vanagon.com page says the two red wires run the fridge and the cabin light. My Bentley says the two red wires go to the fridge and the little display unit for water level, etc. My cabin light is connected to the light in the headliner by the driver door, just like the Bentley shows. Bentley shows this for all campers.

So, how many vanagon owners have this hooked up per Bentley and "think" they have it hooked up per the Vanagon.com page? I don't know how much that light draws, but I think I will rewire mine, and add a stereo hookup while I am about in there. In fact, I was think of running the stereo wire through a toggle switch back by the bed so I can turn it on and off from the warmth of my sleeping bag. Any reason not to do this? I am also hooking in the Espar D1 furnace to that battery, so hopefully I can give a report on that fairly soon.
