Hey Bob,       Those figures are from my own van.  I put on an oil pressure gauge, the kind with the little hose attached to the back of it from the engine.  The little hose wasn't very long, so I ran it to the back seat and read it from my rear-view mirror. This was not a permanent install, I just wanted to see what was going on back there, since I've been having some valve noise/clatter lately.  When starting it up, the gauge pinned at the 100 psi side.  Came down as the van idled and warmed up.  Shot back up to 75-80 psi on the road.  When the engine was warm, the idle pressure was more like 25-30 psi.       The gauge wasn't the most expensive, or the best, but I feel that it should give at least some indication of the amount of pressure involved.  I attached it to the engine in one of the little ports above the oil cooler, like I've heard of everyone else doing.  Since seeing the numbers for a couple weeks and being satisfied with the pressure, I have removed the gauge.  Someday I will get a nice VDO gauge with an electric sender and install it for good.       So, that's the scoop, straight from the horse's exhaust.
