Subject: loss of power resolved
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

sorry for the previous blank message: i hit return after the subject and away it went!!!!

Anyway.

The problem was a misadjusted throttle cable (which was probably caused by not attending to details when they put the transmission back in).

This was a dealer who I took my 90 westy (auto trans) to because it was leaking "something." They said it was transmission fluid AND that the torque converter needed replacing.

Along with other work, we spent a fair amount of cash there.

Issues:

1. Checked for leak the first night home: still leaking 2. Took it back: they said a seal was pinched 3. They fixed it. 4. I took it home and noticed for the first time that there was a serious dent on the driver's side back wheel-well 5. I took it back 6. They fixed it 7. After finally getting a chance to drive it some, it was apparent that something was wrong, as we had much less power than before the work was done. 8. I took it back. 9. They found the throttle cable problem and fixed it.

It drives GREAT now!!

Thank god for the 1 yr/12,000 mile warranty on their work, plus they have been very friendly and willing to take care of all of the above issues at no charge.

But...

Thanks for all your help,

Dale G.
