Subject:      Can 205/70 R14 tires be used on an 87 Westy with steel wheels?

Calling all tire gurus!
Does anyone know of any problems using size 205/70 R14 tires on the
standard 14x5.5 inch steel wheels of an 87 Westy? Does that tire size
work equally well on the VW 14x6 inch alloy wheels? Is there still
enough clearance on the rear tires for thin snow chains?
