I have a German book here that details how to make your T3 into a camper - there is a photo of a bed extension for the bottom that makes it do the hatch is open say about 4" on the bottom to make the bottom bunk that much deeper. Around the opening is some canvas or something - I can look a little deeper into this if you like.

Any tall campers out there.... I'm 6'9" and looking for ideas on extending the length of the bed in my Westy.

Perhaps something that would fold down out of the way when the bed is in seating position and up and lock into position at bedtime.
