Interesting. I grew up in Labrador. Understand the road between Cartwright to south Labrador coast is pretty rough as is the road, in places, between Quebec and Labrador. That is a long haul from Baie Comeau to Happy Valley Goose Bay! You can search the web for photographs of the Labrador highway. I'd wait til that stretch between Baie Comeau and Goose is paved.

I've done the north shore of the St. Lawrence to the Mingon Peninsula, had my westy put in a container, and spent a couple of glorious days on a ship traveling to southern Labrador, took that short ferry ride to Newfoundland, traveled though out that area, my home province... and took the ferry Cape Breton and then home to Ontario... but I went the other way round.. that is from Ontario to Newfoundland to Labrador to Quebec, to Ontario.

It was an absolute great time!

Let me know when you will be traveling.... I'm intending on driving home to Newfoundland some time this coming summer.
