Simple lift in and pull out! ooh! i like that one! So you loop the cradle around the battery on installation amd leave it there for easy removal. only problem is it diggs into your hands! we had tried similar in getting the last battery out, by louping heavy wire in the ends of the battery where there was supposed to be a strap handle...it really dug in, but...if you make a little handle to place in your hand below the wires/string it will not dig in. just takes five minues and some scrap wood/plastic and you're set for life. ;-)

The other day at Kragen auto..I was looking at their spiral cell batteries, I think exide? (not Optima, but was told it is lisenced under them)...anyway, they had a set of handles built in the top that fold up for lifting. I tried it in the store, and like it much batter than the batteries with the buile-in strap, or any aftermarket battery grabber doohickey..
