Since they correctly adjusted the throttle cable (or probably the cable between the tranny and the throttle cable after they re-installed the tranny), the response is like it was before the new torque converter was installed, as far as quickness.

However, the transmission now much more effectively moves from 2nd to third and downshifts as necessary from third to 2nd. Before, I don't think it ever downshifted automatically to 2nd, so we would have to always do so manually.

So, I can now tell that the transmission had been funky but I didn't really know it because this is the first auto westy I've ever driven.
