Yeah, I did use the original piece for a template. Except for the piece that goes above the back bench seat, for that I just measured the area, cut out a piece and screwed it over what was already there. for the front and the long skinny side piece i did the template thing and then tossed the old pieces. Those are pretty much all the pics i have. I am still going to do the piece that goes on the back hatch. corrected link... http://www.geocities.com/kgordee/greenvw

Thanks, Chris

I had done this back when I had my 82 westy and so I wanted to do it again in my new 83. The hardest part was installing the new piece of paneling that goes above the front 2 seats. the original piece is a lot flimsier so it is easy to fit into the grooves but the stuff i used was a little stiffer. it is from Home Depot. I thought it turned out pretty nice and I still have some more areas i would like to do. This website will occasionally go down so if it isn't working, try a little later...just scroll down to where it says "paneling project" and click on the little picture.http://www.geocities.com/kgordee/greenvw~Gordy > >===================================== >~83 Green Air-Cooled Westy >http://www.geocities.com/kgordee/greenvw >(this site usually works but not always) > > >--------------------------------- >Do you Yahoo!? >Yahoo!
