Subject: discharging AC
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1

I am in the process of removing my old blown 2.1 WBX and installing a Suby motor. Yesterday, I started to remove the AC compressor from my '91 GL when I discovered to my surprise that there is still AC gas pressurized in the AC system. The AC hasnt been hooked up for a long time. Is there an easier way to discharge the AC other then what is in the Bentley manual? Can I just crack open a pressurized hose and let it leak out in a bucket? Any dangers? Thanks,

Dave
