I have the exact problem


I lowered my 85 by 1.5 inches and it fits my garage too!


Some say that you should do this by buying knew "lower" springs for about $400 plus time to install


You can also do it by "compressing" the springs to "pull it down" AKA the low rider industry.


In the end you get the same amount of suspension travel - although the "lower" spring kits are suppose to be stiffer - however my "pulled down" van, ride just fine.


I used heavy duty hose clamps to pull mine down

Why not use regular coil spring adjusters??
Not a sublime way to attack the problem, but as they say,
