Subject:      83.5 Westy engine swap
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii; x-mac-type="54455854";

I am contemplating an engine swap into my 1983.5 Westy (auto). We are now 45k into an AVP rebuild that is working fine, but would work much better in a lighter vehicle. I'm more interested in keeping a VW engine in the Westy, and keeping the engine lid where it is. Budget is also a consideration. This seems to limit me to a I4 and 50 degree mounting, but I seem to remember other options on websites I can no longer find. I would appreciate any info on available kits, I4 v. I5, etc. Thanks, Scott
