Monitors in the 21" size will generally support 1600x1280 pixels. A 17" monitor or and 18" monitor will generally support 1280x1024 pixels. ETKA seems to like a 1280x1024 display. LCD 17" displays/monitors are available at VERY resonable prices on the net. If you buy one make sure your video adapter can do the deed. In order to handle the 1600x1280 frame the refresh rate for 60Hz and up is much higher frequency that what you actually need for ETKA. Not that a 21" CRT isn't great for photoshop and so on but a panning system that simulates 1280x1024 will work just fine for EKTA stuff. pensioner who knows very little about VW but a bit more about raster technology and is still wondering why ken called bob. |
