Look very carefully. It is not at all obvious that it is there, and there is a possibility that it is gone. But I had my first vanagon - and '85 - for several years and never knew it was there ......then some kind member of this list informed this poor soul. I felt so foolish!!!

Just looking it will not be obvious. Put your thumb inside the tube, then with your forefinger nail try and pinch the inside edge of the tube between them. you may be able to grab the rim of the inner tube. If you will look really, really closely, you will see what looks a bit like concentric rings. This is the inner tube and the outer tube nested together.
