Very interesting.
What do the typical parts cost for a AT rebuild?
I seem to remember an shop estimate of $800-950 including doing the torque
converter which was priced separately at $150.
It looks like it might be worth a day at the bench to accomplish my needed
tranny work. I will still need to pull the TC for its repair, though.

I'm also considering buying a used AT and taking my time on the rebuild of
my original one, though.  With these vans it's always good to have a spare
part or two laying around.
