If it's truly smoke, and not just steam, then no, not normal. Possibly burning coolant or oil, though oil usually looks blue. May also be running very lean.

PS whines a little, especially at either steering lock, but not excessively. If it's more than that, you may be buying a PS pump soon. tx, bmc :) Ben McCafferty ben@volkscafe.com
