Warmer Vanagon? - Warmer Bus, Warmer Bug, Warmer Winnebagel--OK- warmerwagen-German for "warm car".

I borrowed it from a ESPAR advertisement.

I probably should advertise as I do have reconditioned units for sale. And I need the money.

I have been working on gas heater since my first one over 20 years ago. I'm not a full fledged business, but I think I'm the only one around this area with more gas heaters than my neighbors..

I sell and service them as a side income. It's like a hobby that few are interested in.

I recently aquired an assortment of 60's and seventies Eberspacher Beetle, Super Beetle, Squareback, Fastback,Bus, 411, Ghia and even a complete '67 Notchback heater. All for sale.

Also a 24 volt Stewart-Warner military vehicle heater, and a S-W personnel heater from a old railroad speeder.

All are complete with ducts, mounting brackets, switches, pumps, etc.

I have one DA-6 Diesel Vanagon heater, and several complete BA-6 Bus and Vanagon heaters.

Two BN-4 heaters, with all the rare ducts.

I restore and service , and install if local.

E-mail me for more info and prices.

Here's some advice if you are storing your Vanagon/Bus for the winter. The mice may have already built nests in your heater if not mouseproofed.

A customer came to me yesterday telling me the heater I installed 3 years ago wasn't running.

I could smell gas, and there was spark. Still it wouldn't ignite. I kept turning it on and off , and finally it lit up.

It smoked like a campfire -and then we found the reason- a mouse had stuffed the exhaust pipe with pine needles.

The danger is that if your heater doesn't ignite it's loading up with gas- so turn it off immediately until you find out why it isn't igniting. A clogged exhaust pipe ot air intake from a mouse nest could be the reason.

Mice can also get into your fresh air or heater ducts and ruin them . A tow hitch cover of similar can block the exhaust pipe during storage. Just leave a card on the steering wheel stating that it's blocked so you don't forget.
